A country’s standard of living does not show how everyone in that country lives. Standard of living is all the averages taken in a country and put together for data. So even if a country has a low standard of living there could be a really rich person who is an outlier in the data. Even though standard of living shows how the averages are it doesn’t show for each and every person.
The most interesting thing I have learned is that even if a country has high characteristic, or a good characteristic it will be brought down from the other bad traits since we have to find an average. Also even if a country has a low health characteristic the country still might find a way to have a high life expectancy.
I think country’s with a high standard of living do not actually have that much of an obligation to help other countries that have a low standard of living. Unfortunately, people would rather buy a smartphone then send some money over to donate to charity. Even though lots of people donate, if you already have a high standard of living you instinctively don’t feel very motivated to donate to lower standard of living countries.
